When someone sends you a gift with a monetary amount, the funds are settled into your own account with our payment partner.
From there, you can transfer your gifts to your personal bank account or card at any time. SwayGifts provides the interface to make this easy, but the transfer itself is between you and the payment partner.
SwayGifts never holds your money. Your funds sit in your own account, and you decide when and where to transfer them.
You can still send the celebration message right away.
If the recipient has not joined SwayGifts:
If the recipient later joins and completes setup, you'll be notified and can choose to complete the gift then.
If they don't join within 30 days, the gift intent expires and no payment is taken. You'll be notified and can always resend if you'd like.
